"Eye opening", was one of the comments made about the series of events held at Claremont's Manchester office last week. Claremont, office interior specialists, unveiled its newly refurbished Spring Gardens office during "futureWork", a range of seminars exploring the technological and sociological changes that are happening within our workplaces.
Pennie Cabot from Watson Wyatt, human resource experts, said: "futureWork was eye-opening and thoroughly refreshing. Rather than focusing on business results and employee output, discussions encouraged thinking about inputs and behaviours, what influences these, and how to manage them to the benefit of individuals and organisations. This is, surely, critical to organisational success and employee fulfilment in the workplace of the present and the future."
Seminar subjects included wireless technology, managing change and stress in the workplace - there were also some more lighthearted touches, such as demonstrations of de-stressing massage that can be carried out within the workplace.
