Viewpoint completes project for new headquarters of Claremont Group

Claremont Group Interiors purchased a 1980's building on Birchwood Science Park in July 2006; the site consisted of a single storey office and a 2 storey workshop building, the two being linked by a loading bay. Internally, the building was very dated and finished to a very basic standard. The 5000 sq ft single storey office building was to become the new home for Claremont’s 65 head office staff with the two storey building being converted to provide around 4500 sq ft of serviced offices at first floor level with 'The Breeze'; a shared hospitality and meeting space on the ground floor.

Viewpoint designed the audio-visual systems throughout, with a formal boardroom and four meeting rooms. All rooms are equipped for presentations with projectors and screens, with a mobile video-conferencing unit which can be used in any of the rooms. In the boardroom, ccomputer presentations from a dedicated PC can be controlled by use of a sympodium and a radio frequency keyboard and mouse from anywhere in the room. Ease of use was a key element in the design of the systems making them intuitive for the users, especially as the rooms are used by external clients. Two rooms can be re-configured into a larger seminar room, using the bi-fold door to open up the space taking up to 36 delegates.

Within the Claremont shared team space, a further ceiling mounted projector and screen are located over 'the kitchen table' and ceiling speakers are provided to allow music to be played within the office.
